We are a family-run horse transport business based just North of Glasgow, nestled in the foothills of the Campsies.
Sisters Susan and Fiona McCabe have been involved with horse transport for over 30 years, starting out by helping at Kilmardinny Riding centre close to Bishopbriggs, every weekend and throughout the school holidays.
Nutmeg, the most fabulous chestnut mare - Susan’s horse of a lifetime and her companion for over 16 years. Nutmeg took Susan on a journey she never believed possible. Known as Meg to all her wonderful friends, she was spirited, intelligent, swift and fearless. Hacking in the Campsie Hills during the week while producing a turn of speed at the weekends to bring home the prettiest rosettes after clearing all the jumps.
Susan will ensure your beloved horses are transported safely. She has over 30 years’ experience in the equestrian world. A teenage hobby that has grown into a lifetime’s passion.
From competing her own horses in all disciplines at such prestigious events as the Royal Highland Show, Blair Castle International Horse Trials and the Scottish Horse of the Year Show. Susan will still insists her proudest moment was wining the trophy on home turf at the Campsie Agricultural Show.
Susan has also gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from her time working at Cheveley Park Stud, Newmarket - one of the most successful Thoroughbred stud farms in Europe. Her claim to fame having to use a ladder to put a rug on the Grand National winner Party Politics!
Fiona will be looking after the business from behind the scenes. Having ridden horses from an early age, a move to Spain saw her give up her riding. Now back in Scotland, she is never far away from a horse and has been tempted back into the saddle on more than a few occasions!
Paul will enjoy looking after your every need during the journey. A keen affinity with all animals, he instinctively knows how your horse is feeling and is able to create an aura of calm for all our equine travellers.
Taking up riding later in life, Paul is sure to tell you about his first "gallop" along Irvine Beach on Luna.
Luna, however, will probably testify that she just broke into a canter!
